This is my maths presentation for Week 8 of Term 4 2015. It required me to work out addition and subtraction problems using an algorithm. It is my second to last maths presentation ever for Pt England School and for 2015.

This is the introduction to algebra presentation that I completed this week for maths. It was pretty confusing but I think that with more practise, I will be great at it!

Maths Presentation Week 5 Term 4

This is my maths presentation for Week 5 of Term 4! We are already half way through my last term at PES! This presentation is full of word problems, there is percentages, fractions, multiplication, division and more! Have a look to find out more and feel free to leave me some feedback on how I went!

Thinkboard Week 4 Term 4

This is my thinkboard and first activity for week 4 of term 4. It is another subtraction problem, 4.1 - 2.873. The strategy I used was partitioning and the answer I got was 1.227

Thinkboard Week 3 Term 4

This is my first activity for Week 3 of Term 4 and yes, it is a thinkboard. The question is another subtraction problem, 3.2 - 1.486. I used the strategy of partitioning to solve my question, my answer is 0.904. 

Thinkboard Week 2 Term 4

This is my think board for Week 2 of Term 4. It is a subtraction question, 2.36 - 1.80. My answer for this question is 0.34.

Presentation Week 1 Term 4

This is my third maths task for week 1 of term 4. It is another presentation and my final maths task for this week.

Week 1 Presentation 1 Maths

This is my second maths activity for the week but my first presentation for the week and the term. It is focused on trying to solve addition problems with hundredths by changing one number in to a whole number. Leave me some feedback and let me know what you think!

Week 1 Thinkboard

This is my first learning post for Term 4 and yes, it is a maths thinkboard. In this thinkboard, the question is 0.89 + ? = 2.13. It also requires me to write 10 other similar questions and a word story problem about the question. 

Week 1 Thinkboardboard

This is my first thinkboard for Term 3. The question was 2.324 + 24.43 = ? My answer was 26.754. The thinkboard shows my working out, the strategy I used to solve it, a word story and 10 other similar questions. I found this thinkboard very easy but it was good because it was like a re-cap to get my brain working again after the holidays. 

Week 1 Triangle Addition

This is my first triangle addition for Term 3. The lay-out is the same as all the other triangle additions that I completed in Term 2. This week's number was 12.456 and I had to write down numbers that all added up to the make 12.456. The bold numbers were already there and I wrote down the rest. 

Week 11 Maths Presentation

This is my last maths activity for Term 2 2015. It is the Week 11 Presentation and this week is all about volume word problems. It is full of questions that require us to work out the volume of rectangular prisms. I enjoyed this task because, even though it wasn't as challenging as the other presentations, it gave me the chance to practice my new skill of being able to calculate the volume of rectangular prisms. I think that I am quite good at doing this now that I have practiced it. I would like to do more of this next term, even if the skill is quite easy, I would still like to do a presentation on it to practice and get used to it.

Week 11 Thinboard

This is my thinkboard for Week 11. The question this week was to find the volume of a cube that is 9cm high, 7cm in length and 4cm in width. My answer was 252cm. If you read my thinkboard, you will see the strategy I used to solve it, a diagram of my working out, a word story problem that I have written and 10 other similar questions written by me. This will be my last thinkboard for Term 2 but I think that there will be plenty more next term!

Week 10 Thinkboard

This is my thinkboard for maths in Wk 10. This week, there was a question about adding big decimal numbers, the question was 23.345 + 3.953 = ?? I found this question easy and quick to complete but the challenge for me was making up a word problem. The thinkboard shows my working out, a diagram of my working out, a word problem that I made up and 10 other similar questions to the main question. 

Week 9 Presentation 2

This is my second think board for Week 9, I completed this with my friend Rave. It has the same sort of question as the first think board, we had to find the area and a perimeter of a triangle.

Week 9 - Maths Presentation

This is my maths presentation for this week, it is all about volume, surface area and pi. I completed this task with my friend Rave who is at the same level in Maths as me. I found this task hard because I still don't really understand surface area properly. I hope I can learn the surface area properly so this is easier.
