X Factor

Last night, my family and I watched X Factor and saw Cassie go home. I was really happy that Moorhouse, Benny and Jackie went through, because they are awesome!  My friends and I all think that Whenua should just go home, because his performance on Sunday, wasn't that great and Cassie's was AWESOME!! Anyway, I guess that we should just carry on.

Arohatia Te Reo DLO

The past few weeks, Jordenne, Meleane and I have been working on a DLO about Te Reo Maori. It was for a competition made my Ms Tito, so people from all over the school were making cool DLOS. We hope you enjoy it and learn something about Te Reo Maori.

Last week for the Term

This week is the last week for the term. It is really exciting that the holidays are coming up, but I am actually going to miss coming to school everyday. Tomorrow is parent interviews, so we are going to finish at 12.30. I am actually pretty scared that my report is going to be a disappointment. I guess I just have to wait and see.

In the holidays, my family and I are going to change around the house, not renovate  just paint and get new furniture. Hopefully, they is really fun. In the second week, we are going down to Tauranga to visit my Mum's twin sister and her family. They are in the Gold Coast, Australia now, so we have to wait until they get back before we can see them.

Family Fun Night

On Saturday night, my family and I went to church to attend the Family Fun Night. It is organised by people at church and is full of really cool games. There was Wii, Xbox 360, Frisbee Golf, Table tennis, Air Hockey, Board Games..... They had it all!

I played Frisbee golf outside which was really fun. It is when you have to try and get the Frisbee into a hoop, with golf rules. It was dark, but I guess it made the game much more fun. I lost to my partner, but it was still pretty fun. We played lots of different Xbox 360 games and my 2 favourites were Sing-star and Connect Sports. There was also lots of food, so nobody had to leave because they were hungry.

I loved going to the Family Fun night, as always and I can't wait till the next one. My favourite part was playing Xbox Connect Sports with my little sister, Jedida...... she was so cute! She was a bit too short so she couldn't do everything normally, but she still loved it.

Mufti Friday

We have just come back from assembly and we are just working on our Arohatia Te Reo DLO..... we want it finished by 11.00am. We have been working on it for about 2 weeks now and today in the deadline. At assembly this morning, we had a Travel Wise "Lesson" a guy named Able came with his friend Max to talk to us about travelling to school safely. For netball, our player of the day was Quasia and I think that she did deserve it. I love going to Assembly's because Mr Burt makes everything so much fun.

Today is Mufti day, so everyone had to bring in a gold coin. For the Yr 4,5 & 6, there is a disco on at lunch time, so we had to bring in 2 gold coins. This is all fundraising for the Yr 6 camp at the end of the year. I am so looking forward to that! I hope that today goes well and the disco isn't too boring.

Netball Game... The Last 1 for the Term!!!!

This afternoon, we are going to be playing our last netball game for the term. I might be playing full game, but it doesn't really matter how many quarters I play. I got player of the day last week, so I don't know who is going to get it this week..... most of us have already got it. My great players are Josephine, our captain, Lesieli, Quasia, Sarah, Fafetai, Paige, Rebekah, Sela, Lizara and me. Hopefully, we win this game, we won it last week. Will let you guys know how it goes! Go Pt England Flavours!!!!!

Kelly Tarltons Trip

Today we went to Kelly Tarltons to help our research. We got put into groups and I got to be in my Dad's group. It made the day, much more fun. Even though we went in groups, when we had to go to the classroom, we went in home classes.

We found out about tons of stuff, but my favourite part of the journey was seeing the Giant Squid. They are the only predators to the Blue Whale. The giant squid that was there was only 12 months old and it was 11 metres long and weighed 250kg.... and it was only a baby, I would hate to see the aldult ones.

At the beginning, there was a vehicle that could go through snow, it was called the Snow Trac. We took lots of photos and videos, but they went as good as normal ones because we took the pictures with our netbooks. There was a walkway thing with fish and sharks swimming everywhere around you. It was really cool, there was another cool bridge, which the walls were spinning so it felt like we were spinning, it was really cool.

The penguins were amazing too. There were only 2 of the species there, the Gentoo and the King. The King Penguins are very similar to the Emperor and the Gentoo are actually pretty similar to the Adelie but not as much similarities as the king and the emperor. When we first saw them, the girls there were just sprayed them, but when we went the second time, the girls were feeding them.

I loved going to Kelly Tarltons, it was so much fun. I would love to go again some day, but I think that today was good enough for our research this term.
